11.    Hypertonicity disorder (Jing zhen)

Definition
Rigidity and stiffness of neck and upper back, contractions and tremors of the extremities, and in extreme cases, opisthotonos.

1. wind, dampness and cold obstruct the channels
2. extreme heat
3. yin and blood deficiency
